Looking Back at our 2024 Grant Recipients
View the short video below, by Dawn Hodson, CEO of Reducing the Risk of Domestic Abuse, a 2024 Powerhouse grant recipient that’s using their grant to target domestic abuse in harder to reach rural areas. Abingdon Bridge was another Powerhouse grant beneficiary and here is a video testimony about what it feels like to be a beneficiary.
In the third year of grant-giving The Didcot Powerhouse Fund made grants of over £108,000 to 21 charities and community groups. 10 of these grants were to charities that were new to Powerhouse.
Since Powerhouse launched just over three years ago, 56 grants have been made totalling £283,000. For each grant at least 90% of beneficiaries are local, living in the Powerhouse area, which stretches right across Didcot to the villages of Culham in the North, Blewbury in the South, and includes the science campuses of Harwell, Culham and Milton Park.
You can read more about the projects funded by the 2024 grants below and here is a summary of all the grant recipients.
