Yarnsy’s Powerhouse themed street art

Celebrity crochet creator ‘Yarnsy’ has unveiled her latest masterpiece, a postbox topper on the Broadway, Didcot, a tribute to The Didcot Powerhouse Fund. The creation depicts litter picking as Powerhouse is running three litter picks in different locations during May. The purpose of the litter picks is to help raise awareness of the work Powerhouse does, and to demonstrate the power of volunteering in the community.

Yarnsy, AKA Rachel Crook said “When I heard about the work The Didcot Powerhouse Fund does in raising money for grant-giving for local charities and volunteer run organisations I wanted to do something to help. I thought it would be fun to promote their May litter picks and hopefully encourage a few more people to become regular litter pickers in Didcot.”

The Powerhouse team is delighted that Yarnsy has created some inspiring street art for Powerhouse and Didcot residents to enjoy.
